Modern bibliotherapy is a form of arts therapy in which the practitioner, commonly called a bibliotherapist, prescribes a reading during a therapeutic interview.
This book, carefully chosen according to different criteria that we will study within this training, will allow a greater self-awareness, a cathartic relief, and a better understanding of the emotional, psychological, social and cognitive problems of the patient.
I have designed this online training as an exhaustive guide to the practice of modern bibliotherapy: I’ll refer to case studies of readers who, during bibliotherapy sessions, have experienced real transformations on the psychic level.
You’ll learn different techniques and many work tools for a playful practice of bibliotherapy.
In this way, the objective of this training is to make it accessible to the general public and allow everyone to appropriate bibliotherapy and apply it to daily life: I’ll offer reading recommendations based on different problems of psychological issues, as well as bibliotherapy tools, materials and reference documents essential to an ethical practice of bibliotherapy.
The training will be divided into 36 lessons grouped into eight modules, thus covering all areas of study of bibliotherapy, ranging from practice with various audiences to the bibliotherapeutic treatment of multiple psychic disorders.
Here’s a sneek peek:
Last but not least, a certifying assessment will determine the obtaining of your Certificate of Achievement, allowing you to practice bibliotherapy in a professional manner.
This Certificate of Achievement will justify your theoretical knowledge and professional skills acquired throughout this training.
It is important to emphasize that I have made the choice to give you lifetime access to this training in modern bibliotherapy.
And, the icing on the cake:
Since I want to offer everyone the chance to discover modern bibliotherapy, I offer a 14-Day 100% Money Back Guarantee!
No questions asked, and no hard feelings: I guarantee that too! 😉

As a college dropout–teen pregnancy– I always wanted to earn a degree and a chance to prove myself and my relatives I’m worth the effort.
Now, thanks to this amazing course that I took from the comfort of my home, I can finally support myself and my son as a bibliotherapist: I found a part-time job at the local library, I opened my own practice at home, and my client list grows every single day!

I want to thank you, Agnes, for offering such a high quality bibliotherapy course at an unbeatable price; as you know, I’m a bookseller and bookshop owner, and my sales have dropped since covid.
People have taken on new shopping habits and their local bookshop is no longer one of them.
A few months ago, on the verge of bankruptcy, I took the plunge: I decided to add ‘bibliotherapist’ to my many entrepreneurial skills and give a facelift to my beloved bookshop.
After some researches online, I ended up on your blog and really liked the idea of connecting with a writer for their love for reading and mental health… such a magical combination!
I now offer sound advice, I’ve expanded my offer to include more and more Self Help books, and I’ve even created a monthly book club.
And guess what: my sales took off!
For the first time in nearly two years, I’m going to be able to take a well-deserved little break: say hello to sunny Andalusia, aka my childhood dream!
Thank you again for everything,
Your training changed my life… for the better!
Much love,
Victoria M. (UK)

I am halfway through the training and the quality is just awesome. I do not intend to become a professional bibliotherapist but I really want to recommend this training to those who wish to treat themselves, thanks to books, and who want to understand how to help their loved ones get better.

A year ago my daughter gave birth to a stillborn child. As a father it kills me to see my daughter suffer every day. I’m not the type to pour myself out so a traditional therapy was out of the question. I looked for different solutions and I came across this training by chance.
It has now been several weeks since I completed this training and I must admit that the benefits of bibliotherapy are there. I even had the opportunity to go several times to Barnes & Noble and please my family while having the impression of making myself useful.

If I haven’t finished any college, can I work as a bibliotherapist by finishing only this course?
Agnès Maelström
Hi Matea,
Thank you very much for reaching out about the course!
Of course you can work as a bibliotherapist thanks to this course.
When completed, you receive a Certificate of Achievement that proves your ability to work as a certified bibliotherapist.
Many of my students have been able to find full-time positions in public libraries and bookstores as bibliotherapists, and as you can notice when reading the comments, some are already building their clientele.
You may contact me via email at bibliotherapy@agnesmaelstrom.com and I’ll be more than happy to answer any question you may have!
Have a wonderful day,
Agnès
